Honey and Mustard Bake chicken drumsticks

Honey Sauce

1 onion, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
30 ml (2 tbsp. ) Olive oil
5 ml (1 tsp. ) Cracked black pepper
2.5 ml (1/2 tsp. ) Ground turmeric
60 ml (1/4 cup ) honey
30 ml (2 tbsp. ) Ketchup
15 ml (1 tbsp. ) Of prepared mustard
15 ml (1 tbsp. ) Of Dijon mustard
5 ml (1 tsp. ) Sambal oelek


6 whole chicken thighs with skin
340 g ( 3 cups) trimmed Brussels sprouts
2 onions, cut into wedges
1 bag of 454 g ( 1 lb) baby carrots
30 ml (2 tbsp. ) Olive oil
Salt and pepper


Honey Sauce

In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, brown the onion and garlic in oil . Add rest of the spices and cook for 30 seconds . turn off the heat and add the remaining ingredients and mix it well.


In a baking dish about 33 x 23 cm ( 13 x 9 in) , spread the chicken legs .

Drizzle the Honey sauce over it.

In another dish spread Brussels sprouts , onions and baby carrots with oil and add Salt and pepper.

Cook the two dishes side by side in the preheated oven: cook chicken for about 1 hour or until the flesh separates easily from the bone and cook vegetables for about 45 minutes or until tender and roasts the stirring halfway through cooking.
