STEP 1: MAKE SUNSCREEN YOUR BEST FRIEND!
For this 7 days Skincare Challenge our first step should be adding sunscreen in our beauty products. If you are outgoing then you should make sunscreen your best friend. Many of us step out of our houses without even applying a drop of sunscreen. Usually, because we don’t have enough awareness about the importance of sun protection.
The reality is that our skin especially face, neck and hands get direct UV exposure from sunlight. Sunscreen prevents our skin from free radical damage and prevents premature aging.
So ladies! Spend some few bucks on a good sunscreen and make it a mandatory part of your skin care regime.
Ladies, rest of all steps we will follow in night before sleep. In order to get a glowing skin we need to prepare our skin and should pamper it before night. All step are very easy will take only 30 minutes.
STEP 2: SAY YES TO CLEANSING!
Make sure to remove your makeup before sleeping. Never sleep with your makeup on! This is the biggest reason for aging skin and breakouts. So always make sure to remove your makeup and then properly cleanse your face.
If you don’t remove makeup properly, sometimes unwanted remains seeps into the skin which cause fine lines and acne prone skin.
Cleansing skin is important for all whether you apply makeup or not. Surprisingly, our skin produces sebum (oil) which builds up on the surface of the skin leading to more breakouts and premature skin.
Tips for removing makeup
1. Begin with a suitable facial cleanser like CeraVe hydrating cleanser. It smoothly removes makeup and deeply nourishes your skin.
2. After that, cleanse your face with a suitable face wash. Foam cleansers are generally recommended by dermatologists as they are great in removing makeup, dirt and oil from surface of the skin.
Your skin will feel fresh and pure once you are done with this. This is an easy step to include in your daily skin care routine. And you know what the best part is? It hardly takes 5 minutes every night. Imagine how thankful your skin will be!
STEP 3: EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN ATLEAST!
Exfoliators are important in removing impurities and dead skin cells. It is not necessary to exfoliate on daily basis. Exfoliating once or twice a week is more than enough but depending on your skin type, you can exfoliate more or less.
Weekly exfoliation can do wonders to your skin, making other beauty products more impactful because they can seep deeper into your skin.
So using an exfoliator can definitely increase the efficiency of your daily skin care regime. You can use the below information as a guideline for exfoliation.
Sensitive skin: once a week
Normal skin: 2-3 times per week
Dry skin: 1-2 times per week
Oily skin: 3-4 times per week

STEP 4: STAY HYDRATED!
You’ve probably heard this multiple times that hydration is the key towards better skin. Hydrating your skin means increasing the water content of your skin. Dehydrated skin appears to look dry, patchy and dull while a well hydrated skin is always radiant and glowing. To achieve hydrating skin, you have to quench your skin’s thirst from time to time.
So fellas! Invest in a cute, fancy water bottle that you’ll want to use whenever you look at it. Fill up the bottle 3-4 times a day and drink it. Moreover, in order to keep your skin hydrated apply banana and honey face pack.
Be reminded this face pack is for dry skin only.
Peel half banana and mash in a clean bowl. Mash it with the help of folk then add a teaspoon of honey. Mix it well and apply this mask on your face, hand and feet. Keep it until 15 minutes then wash your face with luke warm water.
You can apply this mask 2 to 3 times a week.
STEP 5: DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE!
This habit is hard to break, but it is very essential to do that. We touch too many surfaces in a day which contains germs or bacteria. After that touching your face can spread bacteria to our skin surface which causes clogged pores and acne.
Other than hands, don’t even allow things like phones or other objects to touch your face as these objects also collect sebum and skin residues. Therefore, it is recommended to clean your phone with alcohol wipe at the end of the day to keep bacteria at bay.
STEP 6: CATCH UP ON YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP!
Sleep is important for our survival like food and water. Sleep has crazy benefits on our physical and mental health. It is one of the most essential, yet neglected part of a healthy skin care regime. Sometimes, due to work load, proper sleep becomes our last priority.
Do you know? Our body improves its blood circulation and boosts collagen production when you snooze, which gives you a healthy and glowing complexion. Sleep deprivation decreases the blood flow and collagen production. As a result, skin becomes dull and you lose the healthy complexion.
Remember: Night owls are a big NO!
If you aren’t able to catch up on your sleep every night. Then you must add an extra day at the end of each week and God willing, in the end, you’ll be able to get proper sleep 7 days a week!
Give your skin a break!
If you are someone who has to wear makeup daily, then your skin deserves one day of rest. Pamper your skin at the weekends by keeping your skin makeup free. Trust me, it’s a great way to begin a pampering weekend for yourself. It’s quite a task for the makeup enthusiasts to step out without no makeup on. But that’s what challenges are about!
